Troop 122 scouts work with the Ice Age Trail Alliance, IATA, to restore oak savannas and prairies. They gather invasive brush that the IATA volunteers cull and pile it to be burned. They haul away invasive walnut logs to be split, dried and sold in the annual wood drive. The troop then donates $1000 to the IATA.

After a hard days work, scouts enjoy drinking apple cider and roasting hot dogs over the fire.
